In Russia, created an unmanned vertolet- "Bomber" for fighting fires

In Russia, created an unmanned helicopter complex, allowing quickly to put out spot fire hazards. This was announced by chief designer of KB "Seeker" Moscow Aviation Institute Dmitry Dyakonov, "Interfax".
"Tests spot fire suppression systems. The unmanned helicopter "Raven 700" dumped on the seat of the fire, "fire bomb" with the flame arrested substance (powder), "- said the deacon.
According to him, during the test, "Raven 700" hung over the fire burning and dumped him "bomb" (a parachute or not), which undermines the electronic detonator at the surface, whereby the flame arrested powder sprayed over a wide area.


Tests were conducted in the interest of a potential customer of one of the CIS countries and funded by them. Deacons said that currently signed a protocol of intentions, but the contract is still in the development stage.
Previously foreign customers planning to buy about 20 of these helicopters, drones, supply can be started only in the second half of 2016, due to the need to train staff and build infrastructure applications.
The unmanned helicopter "Raven 700" was first demonstrated in 2009 to start developing the first version of the fire stated in September 2015. The device has a takeoff weight of 90 kilograms and is able to simultaneously raise five firefighting "bombs" weighing six kilograms. Range determined by the control system and communication up to 200 kilometers. The helicopter is equipped with a piston engine producing 30 horsepower.
