At the Olympics in 2020 will be used for hydrogen cars

To demonstrate the advanced technology of Japan around the world, the Tokyo government plans to use cars on hydrogen fuel cell (FCVs) to transport athletes at the Olympics in 2020 . Metropolitan Government plans to create this month council consisting of officials automakers to start full-scale research project using hydrogen - as clean energy.
FCVs run on electricity generated from the chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. Government plans to create 100 hydrogen supply stations in large areas of Tokyo and Osaka , Aichi and Fukuoka to the end of 2015.

"Hydrogen can become self-sufficient energy source in the future, which will lead to the solution of energy problems," - says a government official. "I would like to build a camp for athletes that will make us believe that we really are to the use of clean energy."

Nevertheless, the price of FCVs, is expected to be about ¥ 10 million and supply stations will be set up only in large cities. In such circumstances, it is not clear how widely spread is the use of FCVs.
