Newest nuclear-powered icebreaker navigation equip-freezing

Russian icebreaker new generation of "Arctic" will be equipped with anti-freeze at a temperature of minus 50 degrees Celsius navigation.

Universal nuclear-powered icebreaker "Arktika" built at the Baltic Shipyard to order "Rosatomflota." It will be equipped with a unique heating systems of the whole complex of navigation equipment.





"The peculiarity of the icebreaker will be its ability to operate in deep-sea areas, and in shallow estuaries. The icebreaker will go to the Pechora, Kara and Barents Seas, as well as be able to go to the mouth of the major Siberian rivers Ob and Yenisei.

Construction of a new generation of icebreakers, which began in November 2013, will continue until December 2017. Its cost is 37 billion rubles. This will be the most powerful icebreaker in the world.
