Russian State Prize given for a system of medical support astronauts

State Prize of Russia in the field of science and technology in 2013 was awarded the RAS Academician Anatoly Grigoryev system for medical support crews during long space flights.

Names of State Prize announced Tuesday at a briefing in Moscow, Russian presidential aide Andrei Fursenko.

Work Grigorieva, scientific director of the Institute of Biomedical Problems, Russian Academy of Sciences, allowed to prove, to develop and implement methods for medical monitoring, prediction and management of the human condition, as well as to create complex technologies to prevent the adverse effects of weightlessness on astronauts.


This provided the Russian leadership in the biomedical accompanied by space missions, and the achievements of space medicine are widely used in medical practice.

According to Fursenko, space medicine, which stood at the origins of the Grigorieva - this is the direction in which Russia has an absolute priority in the world.

State Prize of the Russian Federation for Science and awarded the math, Academician Viktor Maslov for his outstanding contribution to the development of mathematics and the development of the mathematical foundations of modern thermodynamics.

"The concepts associated with the name of Maslova, are included in the dictionary of mathematicians all over the world," - said Fursenko, noting the profound scientific intuition academician of a scientist to carry out first-class work in various fields of science.

Achievement of this year's laureates - a "work above the world level," stated Fursenko.

By tradition, the awards ceremony will be held in the Kremlin on Russia Day, June 12.
