Russian army will adopt protivovertoletnuyu mine

The latest development - protivovertoletnaya mine will be adopted by the Russian army in the near future. Told reporters the chief engineer service of Russian Air Force Colonel Alexei Hazov.

"Protivovertoletnaya mine at the end of 2013 has been tested and will now be adopted by the supply in the near future it is planned. It strikes a helicopter or other aircraft at an altitude of 200 m, forming the core of the hammer on the principle of a shaped-charge "- said Hazov.

According to him, the weight and dimensions of the new ammunition have not been disclosed . New mine will install remote means of mining , including helicopters.
"Mine will be on the ground in anticipation of the object. At his approach , it is automatically translated into the firing position, and when the object falls into the affected area , will work for him , "- said Hazov . He added that the random noise on the mine should not respond , according to ITAR -TASS.
"We have similar anti-tank mine T -83 , it works on armored object. But protivovertoletnaya mine - it is a completely new design , yet it has no analogues ", - stressed Hazov .
